How many people do the land part of the cruise?

We'll be on the Nieuw Amsterdam in August, and will be doing the sea/land tour. About how many people get off the ship in Skagway? Will we be in a big group of people all during our land portion....or will it just be about 2 dozen? Thanks for any info...

Yes, you will be in a larger group of people. It will depend on how many do your same tour. But the size of the group is likely determined by the space on the motorcoach so I would expect around 45 - 50 people.

We will also be leaving the ship in Scagway for the Yukon/Denali tour.

Holland America has many cruisetours happening and when you reach Seward (Denali) or Skagway (Yukon) you will know exactly which group you are with if you are continuing on to the land adventure. HAL tours are amazingly well organized. Each group will be 40 - 45 people who will be assigned to a very nice bus or the train car whatever your mode of transportation. Yukon groups will meet their journey host who will accompany their group on land in Canada and Alaska. Have fun!

I think we lost several hundred passengers departing in Skagway the last time I was on the Nieuw Amsterdam.
