tropicalwolf Posted June 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2018 I just noticed a price increase on dining packages. 20$ Canadian more on 4 and 5 night packages. Wondering if it has anything to do with poor value of the Canadian dollar
timf2001 Posted June 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2018 It's not just the exchange rate. The USD price went up by $15. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes "on sale" for the old price at some point, since previously it never went on sale.

flhartley Posted June 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2018 There has been a general price increase for 2019 in the Cruise Planners. Also on drink packages this week for our cruise in fall of 2019. Spring cruise has old pricing. Sent from my iPad using Forums

julielouhoo Posted June 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2018 Marc Walker and Mark the Activities Manager on the Indy last December were absolutely hysterical. We loved watching them in the morning.

JillK Posted June 4, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 4, 2018 We bought the BOGO two night package pre-cruise and then got talked into adding a 3rd night for 40% off. Doing the math, we paid the going rate for the three night package but for the rest of the cruise, the wait staff from the specialty restaurants were going around the ship trying to get diners into their venues and were also offering 40% off for one dinner. They were trolling at breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer and one night were standing outside the main dining room trying to get us to the specialty dining. I don’t know if that’s typical or only because we were on a 13 night cruise but one strategy could be not to pre-buy and try to get it onboard at a discount, assuming they would be offered. That being said, the two meals we had at Chops were worth every single penny. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Tee & Chilli Posted June 4, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 4, 2018 If the dining package or single restaurant is purchased on board, 18% gratuity is added.
