tigger54 Posted June 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2018 I have a question. I always get gift cards for my Carnival cruises from aarp because I save 10%. I noticed. They have the same gift cards for Royal. Has anyone used them. Carnival allows me to use them for anything. Does Royal have any restrictions for using the cards or can you use them for anything (paying off cruise, obc, drink packages etc.)? Thanks for any help in this manner. We have been cruising CRnival a lot but spreading our wings and trying other cruise lines. We are doing our first Royal cruise. B2B on the Allure in September. Can't wait. kruzerci Posted June 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2018 Do not buy them. There are numerous threads about the AARP and Verizon certificates. They are horrible to get applied and there are limitations.
tigger54 Posted June 4, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted June 4, 2018 Thank you. I will stay away from Royal gift cards through aarp. I never have a problem with their Carnival ones
maryred Posted June 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2018 Thank you. I will stay away from Royal gift cards through aarp. I never have a problem with their Carnival ones Good choice, though listed as a gift card the RCI offering is more of a booking certificate with so many restrictions that it's not practical for many people to utilize. See if you can use your points instead for a pre or post cruise hotel.
