What time for post-cruise car rental?

We are cruising Carnival Sunshine and debark in Port Canaveral on a Friday morning, with a 1:15pm Sunday flight out of MCO. I haven't been on a cruise in ages and don't know what time to get the rental vehicle. This is my last detail to book for the trip. We have a ride from the port to the rental car agency with my parents, who are parking at the port and leaving after they drop us off. It looks like if we go over 48 hours on a car rental we are charged for a full day, but I don't know what time we might get to the rental agency Fri and if we should just plan to get to the airport 48 hours later to avoid the extra cost.

For a 1:15 flight out of MCO you'll want to get to the airport on Sunday NLT about 11:30.

To avoid paying for an extra day or wasting hours at MCO I would try to b among the last off the ship (about 9:00 or so) and you'll pick up the car closer to 10:00
