Upgrade bid offer - category is sold out? Waste of time?

Just got my first ever upgrade email. I'm in a Haven CY Penthouse and was offered opportunity to bid on either 2 br cy pentouse or DOS. I'd love the DOS-but it shows sold out on their website. Is there any hope it might actually be available or is this just a computer glitch? thanks

it is probably slim chance......but on our Roll Call, we had a few cancellations due to medical issues (which would be covered under insurance, if they had it), so they cabin might be come available

 

I also think NCL is data mining to figure out how much people will pay

...what YVR says... there 'just might' be a cancellation and everyone shuffles up... you have to be in it to win it so bid a comfortable amount and forget about it. You just might get a happy email.
