My mother rides in a little cart do to mobility issues.  I am worried as she often struggles to get a spot on these elevators normally.  I can see her being frustrated by this.  Does anyone have any experience with the new elevators and riding on a scooter or wheel chair?

I think as long as she presses the button twice, she should be alright.  When we were on the Horizon,  on the elevator one day, there was a person that came on the elevator in a motorized cart.  The elevator was already more than half full.  It was a tight squeeze after he got in.  He blocked the door and when the elevator stopped at a different floor than what he was going to, he had to back out to let the passengers off on their floor.  Then he went back in and blocked the passengers trying to get on from getting in.

If Carnival was smart, they would get with whomever made the system and persuade them to change the call system.  After hitting the floor you want, it should ask you how many passengers are in your party before it calls for the elevator.  Let's say a family of two parents and three kids under ten want to use the elevator.  Dad pushes the button five times.  Computer says that elevator R has room for three so it assigns three passengers to R and the other two get assigned to S.  By asking for passengers in your party, all five get assigned to the same elevator.  It shouldn't be that hard to change it.
