Symphony of the Seas Internet

Do you have to have Voom to communicate on ship with other guests? Or I've heard about the RoyalIQ app on some ships. We just want to be able to communicate with our friends via text while on the ship. Thanks for any info.

You can use Royal IQ on Harmony and Quantum class ships, for $8 per device. Those ships also have a firewall hole that has been allowing iMessage for free.

Other ships would require VOOM or paying your cell carrier by the text, for example AT&T charges $0.50 per text while at sea.

I've heard varying reviews of internet on different RC ships, but nothing about the new Symphony of the Seas, which we are taking next month.

Can anyone tell me how it is?

Thanks!

Sitting in our stateroom right now on Symphony and internet is very good.
