3GrayCats Posted June 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Planning an amazon river cruise.......our ages (80 & 71) may not permit getting the yellow fever shots. If we have waivers, will we still be permitted to go ashore/excursions? Our personal cruise consultant checked for us. It seems it is up to the individual ports. Has anyone been denied going ashore because of this? Many ports?
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2018 I would be very careful. While you have the waiver it doesn't prevent you from getting yellow fever. So I would consider what excursions you plan to take. I would avoid ones involving jungles, etc and stay close to the port IMHO. Sorry I can't help you with your specific question.
