port or starboard?

I am going to book AOS for Sept 5, does anyone have any advice as to port or starboard side? I will probally go with a balcony midship deck 6 or 7. I will be sailing to Southern Carrib.

I prefer the aft. Cabins directly on back of the ship. This way I dont have to worry which side the ports are on.

 

It will depend on the ship- I have seen some ships pull into the docks and some back in. While on the Victory we backed into all our ports so that the starboard side was facing the ports..except for San Juan which the Port side faced the island. Luck of the draw.
