We have enjoyed our past cruises on Azura and I am sure you and your family will too.

Regarding the cabin location, did you choose the cabin or did your travel agent advise you. If travel agent they should have pointed out that it's location on lower deck 5 P deck forward is directly under the playhouse theatre and therefore there could be a noise issue.

Perhaps others could confirm.

We haven't stayed in an inside cabin on that deck before so can't say if there are any other potential issues that you should be aware of.

Our one and only upgrade was from an inside on R deck to an outside on P deck on Azura several years ago. Our cabin was more central, just off the Atrium, so we thought there might be a problem in the evening with music from the Atrium (which was a concern as our children were younger), but you could only hear it faintly and it finished quite early. Otherwise no issues with P deck other than noise of waves hitting the hull (we had some choppy seas on our cruise). We found it very convenient when going ashore because the gangways were usually on our deck, so no queuing and also for getting up to the restaurant, Lido deck etc because you were at the bottom of the lifts.

The only problem we had (and this might not affect you being forward) was that on disembarkation day we had noise from luggage being shifted around in the hold and machinery operating from very early in the morning (@ 4 am IIRC, we docked @6), but it wasn't the end of the world as we had to be up early to be out of the cabin by 8.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday, Azura's a very nice ship, my second favourite after Aurora.

Thanks for the reply guys. We booked this cruise 2 years ago when it came on sale. I think the Travel Agent advised this cabin(Cheapest):D Just hope its not too noisy for the kids (8 and 10 yrs old). Also whats the chances of an upgrade?

Hi...I love Azura and I love P deck...it's my favourite deck. We have been in all grades of cabins...including balconies. ..but P deck is where I want to be. It is so convenient for getting to the MDR's ...entertainment venues...atrium...getting on and off the ship ....muster...without having to use the lifts which at times can be a bit of a challenge. We never hear any noise apart from the odd wave on the side of the ship...nothing troublesome. When we book our cabin on P deck I always say NO UPGRADE. ..don't want to be put on a deck with what feels like a mile long corridor after contending with the lifts. Cabin layout and amenities are the same in all grades of standard inside cabins whichever deck you are on.

Seems a reasonable location to me. Good start for a first cruise might get an early morning wake up cortesey of anchor dropping at tender ports. Children's club will work well for the young ones but it's a bit of a trek from P Deck.

Wow, what glowing reports about P deck.

I wouldn't be to worried about the location and the need for an upgrade going on the feedback.

We've been on Azura a few times but not considered that deck before.

We really love Azura and I am sure you will all have a fabulous time.

Children are generally allowed in bars but not allowed to sit at the actual bar. Children are not allowed in the casino but may walk through it to get to theatre. There may well be specific events when parents are advised it's adult only and on a late performance. Behaviour is important.
