Allure Boardwalk Balcony Question

Hi all....

 

Just booked on Allure for exactly one year from today a Boardwalk Balcony cabin which will be right next to the cabin that friends we are traveling with.

 

Can we have the stateroom attendant remove a portion of the balcony divider? Or is that a permanent divider?

Balcony dividers can be opened on Allure, pending approval of ship's management.

Why do they have to approve it? Can the HOTS dividers be opened?

Yes, Harmony has balcony dividers that can be opened, also pending management approval.

We had the divider opened on both Oasis and Allure. Just asked the stateroom attendant and it was done shortly after the muster drill. Each time we have been in far aft boardwalk balconies.
