Caribbean Princess vs RC Mariner of the Seas

For the Mariner, how is the drive from Orlando to Port Canaveral?

Does the Caribbean Princess seem more crowded with the extra floor of passengers?

We've been on both lines and have had good experiences on both but the Caribbean Princess is about $300/pp cheaper than Mariner. Is it worth spending less to go on the Caribbean?

We appreciate anyone's thoughts. Thanks.

I have driven from orlando to cocoa beach many times. It is all 4 lane highway. When we were planning our March cruise we were thinking about the ship you mentioned, but we decided we did not want to drive close to an hour from the airport. Yes, you can take a shuttle, but it's something we preferred not to do. We chose to go on the Caribbean Princess. You can fly into the Ft. Laurderdale aiport and it's easy to get to the ship.

The Mariner is a great ship but saving at least $600 is significant. I'd go on the CP. If you pick the Mariner you can take a rental car from the airport to Cocoa Beach and they take you to the ship a mile away or you can try Art's Transportation. I'm sure you'll love either ship.

just wanted to push this to the top, Anyone else have any thoughts. We have been on the Grand & Sun Princess. We really enjoyed the grand but we did not enjoy the sun as much.

We have been on the Mariner and are booked on the Caribbean Princess in April. We enjoy trying different ships. You have already tried a Grand-class ship, why not try the Mariner. We had a very enjoyable cruise on her.
