Distance RCI Cruise Port St. Thomas to Charlotte Amalie Downtown

Will be in St. Thomas in a month on Freedom of the Seas and can't wait! Does anyone know which port we will be docked at, how far it is to downtown Charlotte Amalie, and what a taxi would cost? We have an excursion to Magen's Bay in the afternoon and they said we could choose to drop off in CA and return would be at our own expense but I'm worried about not getting back in time for cruise departure. Thanks!

Freedom of the Seas docks at Crown Bay. It is about 1 1/2 miles from town, walkable, although you might think it's too hot. From the rate sheet, it should be $5 for one, $4 per person for two- one way.

Plenty of taxis in town reminding you that it's time to go back to ship, so if you're not in a jewelry store trying to negotiate a deal, you should make it back to ship in time.
