How is the beach?

Is it clean?

Is it big and are there beach chairs to rent?

Is there a pool?

Did you walk there from your ship?

Did you feel safe there?

Island Village is walking distance from the pier. http://community.webshots.com/photo/453130308/453130308zQfjPy Its a shopping center.

This is where Margarittaville is located. THere is a small beach here. Buying food and/or drink from margarittaville can get you a chair and use of the beach.

As Serene has said it is within walking distance. You can get there easily. I also felt safe walking from the Village to the ship and wasn't hassled by anyone. The beach seemed to be clean and nice. There are chairs and as mentioned you buy drinks or food at Margaritaville you can use the beach for free. There is security to keep the peddlers away so it is safe. Please note though, that it will not be the postcard caribbean beach you may think of. It is nice, but not the most beautiful you will see.

 

As for pools, there is a water slide with a small pool at the bottom in Margaritaville, but it is not set up for swimming.
