Voyager Class Promenade view

Hi, We were in 6301 on the Mariner and our stateroom was above a "bridge" that stretched across the promenade so we were not able to see the parade that well. Also, couldn't really hear it. So, if I booked another promenade room, I'd try more for the middle either on deck 6 or 7. For the second parade, we just went down to deck 5 to see it up close. Be sure you're not over a bar. My sister was across from us above the champagne bar and heard music at night, not from that bar, but from the bar below that on deck 4, which was Boleros. We did enjoy the promenade room and I'd book it again.

Remeber when you are getting dressed to keep the curtains pulled closed as the people across from you will be able to see into your cabin.
The cabin is also located above the Island clothing store which is next door to the pig and whistle.
I would prefer deck 7 which is sandwhiched between two decks of cabins.

The windows are pretty soundproof. You shouldnt have any problems. What week are you sailing?

  • 4 months later...
We are new to cruising, this being our first. We just booked our rooms on AOS. We have 8281. In reading the previous posts, I am now wondering how the noise is in that room. Being on the 8th deck, will we be able to see the parades clearly? How is the light in the evening, does the curtain block out most light? thanks for any info.

The curtains are great for blocking out the light. (at night the promanade takes on a purple color.) you will have to remember to close the curtains when changing anyway- the people across the deck can see into your cabin. All decks have very good windows that are soundproof. You wont be able to hear whats going on in the promanade. (will be able to hear a lot of muffle during the two paraded they have during the week.)
You can see down into the deck because the windows sit at an angle. Your cabin is in the middle- its a good location.
