Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted July 17, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 17, 2018 If the current sale does not fit your needs just wait for another to come around. For us the sip and sail on long cruises works out well, we are sailing in Nov for 20 days with the drink package and 1 specialty dinner and our rate with the bev package is less that what they are currently selling that category for without the package. by the time the deal I like comes around, the ship is sold out, the children in a particular age category are no longer accepted or the cruise is not included in the sale at all. Happy2cruise Posted July 18, 2018 #27 Share Posted July 18, 2018 They replaced the 35% deal with a 40% deal. Boring. Give me a no gratuities deal. The 40% deal is $250 more than when we booked our cruise with the 35% deal........lately is seems sale is just a 4 letter word;p
Wishing on a star Posted July 18, 2018 #28 Share Posted July 18, 2018 And the non-refundable deposits.... Seems Princess is going the way of HAL. (at least the Princess deposits are not like $1,000 and up) Which is NOT good. Princess???? : (

RASHOPPER2 Posted July 18, 2018 #30 Share Posted July 18, 2018 This. The will put something on sale, but raise the base price to cover the cost of the "sale". Kohls does this masterfully as well. Sent from my iPad using Forums

justafem Posted July 19, 2018 #32 Share Posted July 19, 2018 I book when I feel the price is right for us. Doesn't always mean the lowest price, but I get darn close. Our last Feb 10 day Mexican cost hubs and I $1203 for the two of us in an obstructed room, included tips and a small onboard credit. I was thrilled with the price. Let's see $60 per day per person, for that, we couldn't have stayed at motel 6 and eaten at mcdees.
