BallFour4 Posted July 20, 2018 #34 Share Posted July 20, 2018 You and me both. I quit 8 years ago (with Chantix). It was so much easier than trying the cold turkey route. But you're right, I had a couple of cigs just once and then continued. I've never really experienced an addiction to anything before, and I have to admit I am addicted to cigs. The next time I stop - not even a puff. :D Not to hijack your thread, but a little humor. My dad (born in 1927) received cigarettes from the Navy while in Korea. He smoked for 55 years. When he had a MI I went to the ER, arriving before the cardiologist on call did and this was their conversation. Doctor - do you smoke? Dad - no, I quit. Doctor - when did you quit? Dad - about 2 hours ago. During his recovery I asked him if he'd given much thought to quitting. He said he would if my mother could come live with my wife and I. No chance. He lived to be 89. We're north of you off Space Center.
