swin26 Posted July 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2018 We will be there next year and have found limited information. We want to DIY day and were thinking of seeing the 3 bridges, go to the Baltic Art Museum and to Tynemouth (all based on YouTube). I understand the port is in North Shields, but am a bit confused about how to get into town to see the bridges and the art museum and then out to Tynemouth and then back to the ship using public transportation. Also, any other suggestions (other than castles) for the day. Thank you!!

From there it is a 25 minute ride to the centre of Newcastle. So you can do Newcastle and Tynemouth quite easily as you would do Tynemouth at the end of your trip to Newcastle as you will come back to there anyway. It is a 5 minute walk to the village of Tynemouth from the Metro. Sent from my iPad using Forums
