Tampa Girl Posted July 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2018 We are looking at the 2020 Antarctica cruise, and we don't want a guarantee. People seem to love or hate aft cabins. Looking 6228, is this cabin smaller than other Vista Suites, and would the ride be too rough given the weather conditions?
dfish Posted July 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2018 It will all depend on the weather at hand. I had an aft cabin on the Veendam for my Antarctica cruise and it was wonderful. We had calm seas most of the way. But, you could encounter Drake's Shake and then I don't think it will matter where your cabin is.

Is that cabin smaller than the regular Vista Suites? The deck plan looks like part of it is cut off.
dfish Posted July 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2018 I think it was regular size. I was in 228 on the Veendam.
dfish Posted July 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2018 6228 on the Zaandam deck plans shows as a handicapped cabin that looks a little wider than normal except for a small corner that is cut out.
