Quick Question we leave next week

I was just on the Majesty and our safe used our sign and sail card to open and close it - however, you had to use the SAME card to open it as you did to close it. If my dh used HIS card to close it, MINE would NOT open it.

It is not a good idea to use your S&S card for the safe. Anyone who is able to use a universal key to open your door (maintenance, room stewards, etc.) will have access to your safe also.

We use players cards from a local casino as I can get duplicates and we both can carry a card if need be. Some people use a library card, grocery card, or anything with a magnetic stripe.

The room safes that use a numeric code are easy to use and saves having to keep a card on hand.

I understand what you are saying, but there was no choice for us. THAT is the ONLY card that we were able to use for the safes on that ship... I even asked if I could use my own CC and was told no. I tried it anyhow and it wouldn't work.
