City with multiple docking ports

Recommended Posts

I am going on a Baltic cruise with Holland and some of the port cities have more than one places to dock. How can I find out which place my ship will be? I am reading Rick Steves’ book about these cruises and want to be sure I know how to get into the city. Thanks in advance .

Often I will google for the port schedules of the cities I will be visiting. It gives you the place, berth no., time, etc. I can also tell how many other ships are in that day, their times and sometimes how many passengers on each ship. We've used this information to plan itineraries.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. On our Baltic cruise whenever the tourist area was a long walk away there always were shuttles (at a nominal cost) provided by HAL or the port, or hop-on-hop-off buses, or taxis/ubers readily available.
