Best option re parking/transfer for Transatlantic

Hi, We heading to New York from Southampton on QM2 on 18/10/18 and flying back via Heathrow. Trying to work out best way of getting there from Essex. Do I just do a taxi for each leg or do i take car to Southampton and park then go from Heathrow back to Southampton to collect car. Any advice most welcome

What we do when we take a one way cruise is a self drive hire car each way. Or if travelling fairly light, go by train.

We valet park at Heathrow, then use National Express coach to Southampton Coach Station and West Quays Cars to the cruise terminal. On our return the car is waiting at Heathrow so we are soon on our way home.

 

If flying out and sailing back we use Parking4 cruises at Southampton then a coach to Heathrow.
