Cabin Decorations DIY(what should I bring?)

My twin daughters will be turning 8 on our cruise. Any advice on decorating our cabin ourselves? Seems magnets are the way to go. Is that all I will need along with our own decorations?

Not all the walls/doors are magnetic. Decorations also need to be fire retardant.

We use these adorable banners we found on etsy. We get them customized for each cruise. They hang with a magnetic hook and no cruise line has given us any issues using them. Have been using them for 5 years now....they are fun.

Back when we sailed DCL, we used to buy magnetic paper from staples and print out colored pictures of Disney characters, palm trees, the ship, the name of each port we were sailing etc. and cut them out and put them on the cabin door. The kids loved the project and the decorated doors.
