We are currently booked for cabin 7253. It is a promenade (or atrium) room, but right by the elevator. I think it would be convienent, but worry about noise and "peeping toms" from the glass elevator across the way. Any opinions?

Well, if you are doing something in your cabin that you dont want others to see then you close your cabins. Yes, in those cabins people from across the hall or even up on deck 8 can see into your cabin.
Even though you have a cabin that is close to the elevators the rooms are very good with noise control. (you wont hear anything that is happening on the promanade. the windows are that good. (maybe at the two parades during the week==but thats about all)
