ryguy2008 Posted August 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Hi! I'll be on Harmony of the Seas on August 18. This will be my first cruise. Few questions: I chose "My Time Dining". Since I'm traveling alone, ideally, I'd like to meet people. Will I be seated with others? Or would they seat me by myself? On Cruise Planner, I have the option to make reservations at the main dining hall. Should I do that? Will that reduce the chance of meeting people? For now, I made reservations, "just in case". If I miss a "My Time" dinner reservation, is there a financial penalty? Is the "Solarium Bistro" restaurant worthwhile? Any excursions recommended for Saint Thomas? I saw the Flavors of Saint Thomas excursion. This looks interesting. What's the best area for a quieter space to relax mid-day? What do I have to do to join the "Crown & Anchor" society? I see that only 3 points are required for Gold status. Does that mean my next cruise I'm already Gold? Do points expire? Any must-see shows/hidden secrets? :) Thanks! When you get to the Main Dining Room for your dinner reservations, just ask the host/ess to seat you at a large table with others. They will do their best. Your other choice is to switch into traditional dining and request a large table. You will be seated with the same people each evening. 1. You can make reservations now or wait until you are on board. Your choice. 2. No 3. Yes. I like it a lot. Perfect for a solo. 4. I LOVED the Flavors of St Maarten and Flavors of San Juan food tours. I would hope that St.Thomas would be as good. 5. Solarium. Central Park. Promenade deck. Boardwalk, sometimes. 6. There is a link on the RC website. 7. After your cruise, you will be Gold. Points never expire. 8. You should make reservations for and see all of the shows - especially the Comedy Show. Have a wonderful first cruise.
