yankees111 Posted August 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2018 I know you must pre-pay excursions if booking directly on NCL website. I have a good amount of onboard credit for my next cruise. Is it possible to call NCL and reserve some excursions ahead of time and then have my onboard credits applied to my excursion price once onboard? lightingafire Posted August 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2018 When I called NCL to reserve an excursion, the person I spoke with said that you can do this. This worked out nicely since I had $50 per stateroom in excursion credits, so the price was cheaper than booking through the company itself (which is always cheaper than through the cruise line). Just don't reserve online-you have to call, otherwise, any excursion credits you have will be turned into more onboard credit. Once you receive your final statement on the cruise, they will apply the OBC.
newmexicoNita Posted August 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2018 lightingafire has it right. The best way is to call NCL or wait until you board. The credit will not show up until after you complete your cruise.then your statement will show your OBC use. Since we are now getting nice OBC with NCL we are using their excursions more. We used to almost always book private tours.
