Jezzie13 Posted August 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2018 can anyone confirm which nights are formal on Symphony in the med. we are sailing next week. Royal Caribbean call centre said day 2 (Mallorca) and 6 (Naples) but I thought I read a review saying otherwise but I can’t find it now.

lupinsmum Posted August 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Thanks that’s great. Can’t wait!We did the Med, got dressed on formal nights but really stood out in the crowd as literally no one bothered to get dressed up, about 200 got dressed to have a picture taken with the captain, we dressed for the second formal night but went back to our cabin as we were over dressed compared to everyone else and changed. Hope your experience is better
bolocheese Posted August 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2018 We went a few weeks ago, and enough people were dressy that we did not feel out of place. More than a few in Tuxedos and gowns. Special evenings. Keep in mind, however, that we did the timed seating at 6:30, not the my time dining. I suspect Mytime people are less likely to dress up. Hope your experience is better We are travelling in Oct and having never cruised with RC before. I'm wondering what the dress code is like in general for MTD. I have a 13yr old son who hates being dressed up :D Would smart shorts/polo shirt be appropriate or are trousers more suitable? I assume most gents will be dressed in shirts and trousers? I had heard that all sorts had been seen, hate the idea of feeling inappropriately dressed though. Are there many children/teenagers in the main dining room or is it a more adult appropriate environment/menu? We did Princess Cruises many yrs ago and it was quite a formal environment.
