Shocker4 Posted August 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2018 I'm disappointed the cruise critic information for each port gives me this information, except Mahogany Bay. Can you help me with an answer? Even better if you can provide a link where I can see the information in writing.

Mahogany Bay Cruise Complex has a website with heaps of pics, from what I can tell ships dock. There have been occasions where the wind is too high, the ship can't dock. If possible they go to Coxen Hole instead and they may have to tender from there. Your ship docking or tendring will depend on whether and how many other ships are in port. Rare crewsweeper Posted August 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Mahogany Bay can dock 2 ships! No room for anchoring, thus no tenders. If over scheduled, Coxen Hole bound ships may anchor and have a short tender ride.

And if you have booked excursions through the ship it's still long. But if you have booked them privately, you have to walk that whole way and then over a big hill to the main road to meet your ride. Coming back, they can all drop you off right at the closer location though. It is .6km to meet a taxi and 1.3km if you have to walk to the main road to meet local transport. Some may come closer (.9KM) but others will tell you that you have to walk to the main road. Edited August 21, 2018 by !newbiecruiser66
MAKINGWAVES Posted September 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2018 OK! crazy us, we're 80 and 82 and we are going on a V. Bodden excursion. That being said, how soon can we find a taxi to take us to the meeting point? I really don't think we can walk it. I don't understand the km measurement. Pyrate13 Posted September 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2018 You will need to walk from the ship, up a bit of a hill and thru the port shopping area. Taxis there will take you over the bigger hill to meet your Bodden tour for a couple of bucks.
Guest 2000 Posted September 4, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 4, 2018 This video may give you an idea of what the hill from the ship to the taxi is like. It also shows the hill out from the shopping area to the tour operators.
