Sales on POA

Last cruise I was on all merchandise / duty free was heavily discounted on the 2nd last day. Does this happen on POA?:confused:

In May there was a sale 50% off selected items and several $10 shirts. This was on the last day Friday. The shirts were better quality than the standard t shirts offered on the Caribbean cruises. I got a very nice aloha tank top. The gift shop had a selection of stuff. Nothing great.
