I loved my Central Park room!

Recommended Posts

Does every CP balcony room get these amenities or are they available ONLY if you upgrade from an OV? The flyer was a bit confusing to me.

My mom and aunt have a CP balcony booked on Oasis through Costco. They get one specialty dinner for 4, one lunch at Johnny Rockets for 4, soda package, cupcake class and $25 credit towards drinks (plus a Costco gift card). It was a great deal, so not complaining at all. Just wondering about the wine.

These are the EXTRA perks offered through this TA, we are soon sailing in a CP through them and also received these. Yes, these are a great deal!

And to agree with other posters, yes the 3 listed perks (wine, lunch, casino lesson) come with every CP cabin.

Have a 1J CP booked on Allure in Feb 2019 and hearing that closet space is very small although plenty of drawer space, did you find that to be the case? We usually layer close on our hangers and have had no issues on Freedom or Voyager class ships in ocean view rooms? This is 1st balcony we have booked for the 3 of us. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Patti

Thank you for the review! We are booked on the Harmony in November, with one CP balcony 10177 and a connecting inside 10175 for the kids. We were nervous about the location with so many on here not liking them but now I can't wait to see it all!

We also had connecting rooms! We loved them, what a luxury to have 2 bathrooms :D .We would sail these rooms again in a second

I’m another fan of Central Park balconies. Except for one Interior and one Ocean View when I started cruising about six years ago, I have had only Central Park balconies, and only on Deck 10. I like being farther away from the music on the pool deck, and closer to the entertainment and people-watching in the Park. Have sailed on Oasis, Allure, and Harmony. Looking forward to Symphony this December.

My daughter and I never found the heat oppressive, and there was often a breeze. In fact, a few times it was too windy for playing cards on the balcony. We didn’t find the relative nearness of rooms across the way to be a problem. I’ve looked at other cruise possibilities, but I keep coming back to the Oasis Class because of the Central Park balconies.

We loved our Central Park deck 11 balcony in 2015. There were no perks at the time, but we quite enjoyed the Full Monty from the man across the way. Remember to close the curtains!

Oh my goodness! That’s quite the sight! Yes, always remember to close the curtains when changing - or anytime you’re not dressed, for that matter!

I have never witnessed this, but did witness a fun, juvenile pillow fight in the room across the park while I was on the balcony on the last night of my Harmony cruise last April. Alas, there is no way to post videos on here, so my footage of that shall stay off CC! Don’t worry, nobody got hurt and nothing damaged (I was surprised at the latter. The mother came back later with the stateroom attendant, who did not look pleased at the mess he had to clean up). Was a fun spectator sport to watch!

We just booked those exact rooms for our family. Come back on post an update after your cruise and let us know how that unique setup worked for you. Thanks!

We had a CP balcony several years ago on Oasis and liked it very much. The music in the evening was especially nice. In October we're trying a BW balcony on Allure. It will be interesting to see how they compare.

We were in a CP balcony on Oasis last year, and thought it was a great value. To be honest there were times it was warm and we did miss the breeze. That said, we still enjoyed the cabin and balcony overall and would do it again without hesitation. We did enjoy listening to the music from CP while getting ready for dinner.
