  1. @FamilyAtSea.travel Hopefully you will find some sun during the week, but with the size of ICON, you should be able to keep busy and have fun. Enjoy your cruise.
  2. @rncruiser Continue to watch the cruise planner to see if new/different excursions are added.
  3. @pblack You could also check out a utube video. I am sure someone has posted a current one that can probably give you some tips and ideas. If you make a purchase in the cruise planner, continue to check prices and if you find it cheaper later cancel and rebook at the new price if it’s worth it. Just make sure you watch the actual price and not the discount percent. Royal changes prices often. Enjoy your cruise. Download the APP and you can change the date to a current cruise date with the same itinerary and you will be able to get an idea of what’s happening on the ship.
  4. @Ashland & @cruisegirl1976 Glad to see you like cruise control, I booked them for my next cruise.
  5. @hollon just an idea. Checkout Cruise Control Transportation. They will take you from MCO to hotels on Cocoa Beach. $25.00 per person plus tip. $2.00 booking fee.
  6. @patsfan2014 I had the same experience as Ken at the beach. Refund within a few days.
  7. We asked for same table and staff for mtd on our 13 night cruise. We had to switch tables once, but it was the next table over, so was no big deal, otherwise, it worked for us for a 6:45 time slot. personally, I prefer set earl dining, but when I cruise with others, I try and accommodate the others, or eat in the windjammer some nights.
  8. @Goofyisme, I am looking at this itinerary as well because of the sea days which I love. Personally, I will look for a midship or semi aft ( as close to midship as I can get). Whatever you decide, enjoy!
  9. @chmusarI wasn't on Independence, but Explorer. We actually loved this room for sleeping and in Port. Once we got up to shower when we were moving, we would need to lay down before getting dressed as we had motion sickness and we were taking Bonine daily. Our mom fell once in the room during a rocky moment, but was ok. Once we left the room, we were all fine for the rest of the day and we never got sick. This was a bit of a rocky cruise as they had barf bags on all of the staircases and I saw a lady running from the dining room. We also were told we needed to keep our drapes closed at night as the light from the room caused issues on the Bridge. We were on the port side technically, but in the front corner. I have never been on a T/A, so I am just giving you information and hoping it will help you make a decision. I am presuming the Panoramic you are looking at is somewhere in the same area. If you are further back to the side there might not be as much motion. We noticed less motion as we would leave our room and move further back down the hall, so thought we might try one again, but further back. Hope this helps, if not please disregard.
  10. We have used special needs at sea to order a wheel chair for my mom several times.
  11. Portugal is very hilly. I believe they refer to the city as having been built on 7 hills.
  12. Thank you for taking the time to do this review. I will be following along as TA’s are hopefully in my future.
  13. @Prometheus1 Even on the longer cruises it goes so fast. At first it’s, I have 13 nights, or whatever you have and then before you know it, disembarkation notice shows up, and it’s, I have to get off the ship already. Enjoy you last sea day.
  14. I do not know if you are interested in spending the extra money, but if I am not mistaken, The Key offers priority tendering. But please verify this. I also have never used it, so I do not know how much of a priority it would be. Maybe someone who has used it can post here if you are interested. This seems like an awful late arrival time. What time is departure?
  15. Food is very subjective. You need to go and decide that for your self in my opinion. I usually don’t worry to much about other reviews anymore, I have read so many and then once on board wondered what the reviewer was talking about, and that can range from food, staff, condition of the ship, etc. As for layout of the ship, utube has many reviews. Good luck.
  16. @seadog67 Thanks for the video of Liberty ( I love that ship) I miss her not being in Galveston. Nice 5 o’clock shirt's!
  17. I understand your disappointment, I feel lucky to have sailed on her and am disappointed not to have gotten back on her again. She was a lovely ship and had the most wonderful crew.
  18. I wouldn’t worry if you do read some bad reviews before you get on. We did before our sailing several years ago, and honestly, we could not figure out what the people were complaining about once we got on board. Enjoy your cruise.
  19. @mandyleighflies You are not alone. I loved sailing on Lady G as well and hope RCCL keeps her around for a while longer as I would like to get back onboard. I had sailed on Majesty, and had booked another on her going out of New Orleans when she was sold. It’s very sad loosing these wonderful older ships.
  20. @cruise*chic Personally, I can’t wait to get back on an oasis class ship, and Wonder it will be in February. 5 out off 6 of my last cruises were on Radiance class ships or smaller (Don’t get me wrong, I love Radiance class ships also) It’s been almost 6 years since I was on Allure however which I also loved. They offer different thing and a different atmosphere. Check out some videos on utube so you can get some idea if you think you will enjoy it. People seem to love Wonder. Good luck. P.S. Understand there is a big difference between the class of ships I mentioned and not knowing what you are concerned with makes it hard to attempt to answer your question.
  21. Thanks for the morning coffee. It makes waiting for my turn a bit easier.
  22. I have memories of some delicious meals and I am sure you are correct, the people on the tours can give you ideas of where you can do some tastings as well as purchase. (Enjoy!)
