I have taken a plate of food to show lounge, Punchliner, etc.

I am a neat eater, I cleaned up after myself and never left a mess. I carried my napkin-covered plate out of the venue. More times tan not, a friendly crew member offered to take it for me.

Lucky you-we tried to take our dessert in to the comedy club no vista and we were turned away, even though people were bringing popcorn in-I was told that was allowed but not dessert, because it made a mess. I questioned them how a dessert would make more of a mess than a sticky drink getting spilled(which I have seen) or smashed popcorn-they said they didn't know.

Based on my experience on Conquest class ships, I assume the show lounges are even more crowded on Vista. That's probably why they don't want people bringing food/plates that take up the already limited table space that is meant for drink purchases. I have seen people bring plates on the smaller ships though
