PhillyFan33579 Posted September 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Did a quick 3 day cruise on Victory this weekend. Unfortunately like I expected, college football games on the major networks were not available. Specifically the Washington-Auburn game and Miami-LSU game were not available on the ship. For most of Saturday they had the following 4 channels on in the sports bar: ESPN, ESPN 2, FS 1 and the SEC Network. According to one of the bartenders in the sports bar Carnival is working on obtaining access rights to more colllege football games and is supposed to be getting access to Sunday Ticket this year. However, he did state those decisions are made at a much higher level and he usually doesn’t know for certain what sports are actually available until the day of the game(s). latitude918 Posted September 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2018 To add on to what you said, in my experience, the games shown are pre-determined, and the bartenders aren't able to change the channel. So if you're team isn't playing on one of the TVs, they aren't able to change the channel to your game. But as always, YMMV
Knights on the Beach Posted September 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2018 Which is why we prefer not to cruise during college football season - unless we have a bye week. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
Rare Saint Greg Posted September 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2018 I’ll add a similar experience on Dream. The channels on in the casino bar were ESPN, ESPN2, and SEC Network. I know there was a group who planned to watch the Alabama game which was on ABC and obviously that didn’t happen. I didn’t see FS1 on...but that jives with what I saw on Breeze in March. I saw the red frog pub bartender on Breeze flipping between channels and the channels were ESPN, ESPN2, SECN, and FS1
