For those having trouble, including the stuff flying around, I second the opinions about getting the good brushes. When I first started using BE, I tried using my own brushes (not wanting to lay out so much money because it does seem pricey when you're first starting out) and I had some issues. Then got the good BE brushes and it made all the difference. Somehow everything just clings better and applies better.
