Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Lauderdale

Has anyone used this hotel for one night precruise? As I am coming from Canada, it seems to be the most reasonably priced (after exchange) Is there anything nearby? ie. supermarket?

There are at least three Days Inn locations with "Ft Lauderdale" in their name/description.

 

If you are asking about the property at 1595 W Oakland Park Blvd ("Days Inn Ft Lauderdale-Oakland Park Airport N") that is a notorious crack den/HO-tel. Cancel as fast as you can.

 

And the "Ft Lauderdale Airport Cruise Port" location at 1700 W Broward Blvd is not much better. Just down the street from the municipal lock-up, nothing but gas station convenience stores or a Dunkin Donuts within walking distance.

 

By default the "Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Airport South" property (legal address: 2601 N 29 Ave, Hollywood) is passable for one night. There is a Denny's next door. But you should be able to find another hotel on the opposite side of I-95 at Sheridan St or Stirling Rd for a similar rate that will be much closer to shops and restaurants in a more tourist-friendly zone. (Knowing what time of year you were looking for would help).
