LuCruise Posted September 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2018 Anyone been to the Aqua Adventure Park in Costa Maya? We'll be on a cruise in March with our 13 and 9 year olds. Just wondering feedback. Price is quite reasonable (which almost makes me question it ;).)
mgrieger Posted October 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2018 We took our 2 boys - 10 and 7 - to Lost Mayan on our 2/11/18 cruise. We absolutely loved it, though there is a heavy asterisk on that... mid-February is probably nothing like March, crowd-wise, though I'm speculating on that. Our day there felt like we virtually had the run of the place - like taking the elevator up each time, we usually had the elevator to ourselves. The slides were great, the ziplines were great, the 'zip-coaster' was great... it really was the highlight of an overall great cruise. Some additional comments I had made are in this thread:
LuCruise Posted October 27, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Thanks for the reply. So many options between the ports its hard to know which one (if any) to book. For our Royal cruise, there seems to be two different options. Not sure if one is just waterpark/lazy river, whereas the other also includes zipline and transportation? Second is about double in price.
mgrieger Posted October 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2018 You may want to consider just buying the tickets at the marketplace right off the ship. You may be able to haggle - we were able to get 1 free ticket out of the 4 of us. Their price was the same as on-board for the full-access ticket - $99 adult/ $89 child. The comped ticket they gave us was even adult, so we paid for 1 adult and 2 child. The purchase then actually goes back to the ship on your account, in case of on-board credit usage concerns. The park is just a block or two away from the pier, so transportation isn't much of a concern, though they do run a tram back and forth, which is no extra cost.
