njhorseman Posted September 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2018 My answer assumes you're starting at the Royal Naval Dockyard. I think the best way to go is via the shared mini bus shuttles that cost $7 per person in each direction. A taxi for 1 - 4 passengers will cost about $35 plus tip each way Monday through Saturday. More for 5 - 7 passengers and on Sunday. Bus costs $4.50 (using a token) each way. the bus drops you and picks you up on South Road, so you have to walk down and the back up a steep hill to get to the beach. The buses can be crowded and if they are may even skip the Horseshoe Bay stop on the return trip. I'm a pretty big guy and I find the lounge chairs there to be reasonably comfortable.
