MixerDave Posted October 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2018 I have not been able to find an answer, so I need help. If I book a cabin with a non refundable deposit, if for some reason I cannot travel (health, etc.) will the travel protection cover a refund? Clarea Posted October 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2018 You have to check with the insurance company that is supplying the "travel protection". They are the ones that set the rules for the covered reasons that quality for a refund.
klfrodo Posted October 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2018 Travel insurance is for recovery of non refundable expenses. However, each and every insurance is different in what it covers and how/why. And what are you claiming? I just don't want to go anymore? I can't go because I'm in the hospital? All these variables determine whether your claim will be accepted or denied. and is the non-refundable deposit "really" non-refundable? Or is it 25% non-refundable and 75% rolled over to a credit?
