This is not a cruise memory but something really gross that I encountered at a Sam's club.
They were giving out food samples and one of the samples was cocktail shrimp. I watched this guy pick up a shrimp, dip it in the sauce provided, take a bite and then dip it in the sauce again. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif[/img]

Doulasue, they did the same thing one night in the dining room on the Elation, but with a sombrero. Having battled headlice twice with my 2 girls, I was not ABOUT to let them put that nasty thing on my head!! I couldn't believe they were doing it in the first place.....

Wow, been on this board for a couple of years and this is the first that someone has commented on [I]Mrs Booger[/I]! Here's the story...

My hubby is in radio and many years ago he needed a 'weird' on air name for a try out on the air. He never came up with one so the gelntleman doing the hiring told him to be [I]Booger[/I] on the air 5 minutes before going on. He's been [I]Booger[/I] and I've been [I]Mrs Booger[/I] ever since. I must admit it, I hated it at first but now it's a term of endearment.

Now, back to cruising!

May 6th, right?? There are a bunch of us crazies going, we are having a meet and greet at the lido deck pool bar area right after the Muster drill. We'll be wearing Mardigras beads, and will be with a BIG guy with tattoos (that's Zonemasconi). We also are having a precruise meet and greet at Bahama Breeze at Rocky Point in Tampa on the 5th, the night before the cruise, where 25 Cruise Critic members will be meeting (some for the first time!) to have a pre-cruise PARTY!! Are you coming in the night before?? We also have a roll call thread going on the Carnival roll call page, stop by and say "hi".

The scariest cruises for me were: on a Holy Land cruise around the time of Kadafe (spelled right?) when we didn't know if we would be able to stop at Haifa and our Egypt stop was canceled, and the other scarey time was getting off the ship at LaGuaira, Venezuela and seeing flies on a big black area on the concrete, then finding out it had been the recent crime scene involving a body lying there. Yikes! Give me a cruise to the Caribbean...please.

doulasue - Unfortunatley, I won't be at the party the night before. I'll see what I can do about meeting up after the muster drill. There are going to be 3 or 4 couples from my hubby's work that we are cruising with. We have a mini party going. I'll see if they're game for a BIG party!

I hadn't thought about that! It's been so long since I didn't have any kids that I had forgotten what it was like. Thanks, Salty Dawg, for giving me the best laughs I've had in a long time!! How are the Red Wings doing? I miss being able to see that nearly every night on tv.
