Rjh8842 Posted October 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2018 i have read that it is possible that if there are not enough people booked on an excursion that they may cancel it. I would be going to greece in november of next year. I would need it to be in english. What do you think the odds of enough english speakers being there? What has your experience been? should I plan to do the ports on my own? The only port I really would prefer not to do on my own is athens due to the fact I want to fit a lot into that day the a ship excursion would be best. Rare Essiesmom Posted October 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2018 You should get a copy of Rick Steves' Mediterranean Cruise Ports. He will tell you what there is to see/do in your ports and how much you can do in the time you have. and how to do it yourself. I might be that you can see more on your own if you don't have to wait for 40 people to gather, straggle, reassemble...EM

Tia Yes they do cancel excursions because of low numbers but they also run dual language excursions eg English and French, or, English and German to get numbers up to the required leve,l provided there is a dual language guide available Pete
