Notification settings not saving

I am getting many more emails than I would like regarding thread updates. I went into the setting and turned off all notifications. However, I am still receiving them. Thank you.

How long after turn off did you receive an email? perhaps it was still in the queue to send out.  Let me know if in 30 minutes or so you are still receiving notifications

I just got one for this thread so I think it's still got something going on. I turned them off last night.

Any time you create a new thread I believe the default is to be notified of any posts.

I didn't create a thread (until this one). I created a post within the thread called "this forum is not working for me" and that's what I'm getting the notification for. I'll go back and look if there's an option on the post itself.

OK, there is a Follow button at the top that I didn't see. I was in my user settings and had turned off all notifications. I assumed the user settings would override the individual threat setting but perhaps not. I changed it to unfollow and I'll let you know if I still get any more. Thanks!
