Has CC definitively stated the App is dead?

I know, I know, there are a lot of threads dealing with the disappointment of not having the app functional anymore, BUT,  has anyone with absolute knowledge within the CC "management" come on and stated it is for sure dead, and to never return? Can they honestly have underestimated how popular it is to use an app in this day and age?

• Our forums are not supported by our old app or tapatalk at this time.  

Whether or not they are considering bringing it back or not has not really been addressed, but I would think NOT.  This site has mobile accessibility (as bad or as good as it is), so, IMO, they won't have adding an app very high on the "change" list.
