From Cunard's Facebook page

"Queen Mary 2 greeted the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth in New York Harbor yesterday.
Captain Christopher Wells, Master of Cunard's Queen Mary 2, said: "It is a huge honour to bring Queen Mary 2 to meet HMS Queen Elizabeth, for the first time, here in New York harbor, and for the opportunity to salute the Royal Navy's new aircraft carrier."

Thanks for that.  I was watching QM2 sail out of the harbor yesterday on

and could not figure out why QM2 suddenly stopped and rotated 360 degrees.

I too was watching her little pirouette on the webcam, and couldn't figure out what it was all about because the aircraft carrier wasn't in the webcam view. Now it makes sense. She sure does look elegant when she 'turns on a dime' like that. :)
