I am in Fun Pass Hell - Help!

I am trying to update our fun pass since completing a couple of weeks ago we have decided to fly in the day before. I am trying to enter air travel info and hotel info. I keep getting a invalid message when I put in my check in and out dates. As usual Carnival service reps bite (I have a stonger word in mind but will refrain). Any ideas on what I am doing wrong will be forever appreciated.

Sames as though carnival has some kinks in their new web site. I'm having a hard time also trying to get info . DONE 5 previous cruise and have already made final payment on next cruise which only 43 days away .
Keeps telling me it doesn't recongnize my booking number or that i have cruised with them before.
Hope they can iron it all out pretty soon as well as cruise critics site.

Just call your PVP to get your fun pass in order.

It's not "hell", it's a glitch!

I have the same thing. It does not recognize my booking number, my name nor my pass guest number.

I don't have a PVP. In the last 30 minutes I have phoned Carnival 3 times to get someone to help me with this. I don't consider dismissive customer service reps a "glich". One person I spoke with would not even let me explain what my problem was. She was just rude and hung up on me. Every cruise that I have ever been on with Carnival has been great and without compalint from me. But as far as their customer service is concerned they can leave a lot be to desired.

If you are having the problem I was having re-read what they are asking. They want to know your DEPARTURE not arrival information. Where you are going after the cruise. Not when you are coming in. It took me a while to realize this because we booked directly with the cruise instead of an outside agent and the Carnival agent had some information already entered into our Fun Pass and it couldn't be changed. When I realized the date was the date we got off the ship, then I knew what they wanted. Go back and check.

From past experience, you can call five different Carnival customer service reps and get five different answers. They must have one of the worst training programs in existance today IMHO.

Good luck on getting this mess straightened out.

Ok, after my fourth call to Carnival I spoke with a very helpful person named Marla.

Dasa: I gave her our past guest numbers and she confirmed that they were indeed correct. She didn't know why the fun-pass was rejecting booking numbers or past guest numbers so she tried talking to fun-pass tech support but they are already closed. But she was helpful.

Joanne: You are right. This is exactly what she told me. So that is done. I guess I should have figured that out for myself but I guess I'm just not that smart.

Gordon: If you are on my next cruise let's drink to that! My treat. I must have a gris-gris on me when it comes to Carnival customer service reps.

Thank you all for your input. This was a great help. I think these boards are more helpful than the CCL reps.

Thank you Linda for your suggestion. I will save your PVP's name and number for future use. However "dramatic" I may be, I think I have a right to a little help from a company that I just paid a few thousand dollars to. And, I don't think being hung-up on by a "customer service rep" is anything that I should be happy about. Four phone calls to get a simple answer in 30+ minutes is a little excesive. Don't you think?

I was beginning to think it just must be me or my new ISP.

I keep trying to "login" on Carnival's site and when queried for my past guest #, I get [B]"that past guest number is assigned to someone else"[/B].

Gary,

That is the same message I got when logging in my past guest number. I guess I forgot to put that in my original post. It won't hurt to double check that with Carnival. I hope get this problem fixed soon. Good luck.

I'm glad I am not the only one that has gotten so frustrated with Fun pass that they just clicked that little X in the corner and called it quits!

I tried and tried and tried to enter my info for my travel plans. It kept giving me the error message! Then pammyhound told me that they only want the travel info for AFTER the cruise, not before!!! That was the problem all along. You'd think that somewhere on that page they would put "DEPARTURE PLANS", rather than "travel plans". I have since spoken with at least 8 other people that did the same thing.

how did you get as far on the site as too be able to put in your past guest #????? i have one and cant get that far.

i forgot my password. i put in my email and it says i have been sent my password but it never comes. i have also tried to re-regester and it says i already exist. so i am stuck. according to a service rep a technician is going to check into it on monday. im starting to wonder if i will ever be able to log-on again or not. they do have some bugs in the new system. i hope they get them fixed soon.

yep, it is a mess! i tried to "contact us" it says no more than 300 letters. i had about 60. hope they get it worked out soon. but yes, they want your flight home info, they dont care about your arrival, just departin so they can make sure the early flights get off the ship. as for booking #, i put in the # on fron of my docs, that says BOOKING NUMBER, well, thats not it! go to the fun pass page of docs, there it is. go figure!! what a pain in the a**.

Arlene: Of COURSE you should be able to do FUN pass on line! I'm sorry for your frustration!

Call a PVP - any PVP - (but mine is the BEST!) and have them work you through it.

They just put the new site up like last week... there are BOUND to be 'kinks'... just be patient and all will be well! [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

I don't know if you've tried this, but for my booking #, it didn't take the first time. When I tried again, I did it in ALL CAPS and it took. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I tried for days to get this correct. I finially used all caps in all fields and it worked!
