HDMI on Seabourn Odyssey

Hi All,

 

I tried doing a search for this topic, but didnt find anything specific and recent. I'll be sailing in the Odyssey in December of this year, was wondering if the TVs included an HDMI port? Thanks in advance!

The televisions on Ovation do - three, as a matter of fact (see below)... can check Odyssey later this month.

The outlets are there but the TV and standard Seabourn remote control don’t have the usual button to switch source.

Good to know!  I’ve never tried to use them on a ship but I’ve been known to turn a hotel television into a giant monitor when I need to work!

I wonder if the TV might auto switch upon booting up a plugged in device... guess I’ll have to find out for myself.

if really needed, bring a cheap learning remote

They do have DVI inputs but most functions on the remote are locked out by staff.  The TV acts as the slave monitor for the entertainment center which is really a  PC.  I tried hooking up my portable DVD player but wasn't able to access the TV's "input selection" choices.  Seabourn did have a solution for DVD's which is a DVD drive they will loan you FOC and it plugs into one of the USB inputs on the entertainment center's PC.

Did you try this and did it work?

 

The TV's on the Odyssey have an input select button on the TV but I got an error message "Function Disabled"  when I tried to change the input.
