Reflection v Silhouette

I sailed on both and never noticed any difference. As far as passenger capacity it's a difference of 196 more on the Reflection. Less then 8%.

There are NOT twice as many heated tiled loungers in the Persian Garden.  I believe it is two more.

 

There may be a difference of 196 but at the same time, the amount of public space has been reduced.  That gives a more crowded feel.  Still both are very good ships.  Silhouette is our favorite as Blu is less crowded with fewer tables and we love the Sky Lounge being intact.

I agree! I sailed on Reflection last year, and Silhouette this year. Loved them both. Reflection has an additional deck (and more staterooms) but I didn’t find her more crowded than Silhouette. Cafe al Bacio is crowded on both ships. I was not in a suite or Aqua cabin, and I don’t care about lounging in the sun, so I can’t comment on the issues others have mentioned. I had very good to excellent service most of the time, on both ships. I’d happily book either of them again.

The extra passengers on Reflection are definitely noticeable, no matter that it's ~196.

 

They should have put Quasar where the shops are by the casino so that the casino nightlife could spill over the the nightclub, and the other way around as well.

 

Edge has a similar issue in that they don't connect energetic spots with other energetic spots. If you connect the energy to a central spot then you can radiate it out from there. They're learning a little with the casino by placing it by the Grand Plaza, but it could have been so much better.

We loved both.  We were in AQ in both.  Both experiences were comparable overall.  You can’t go wrong with either ship.

Obviously nothing compares to the Edge, but what significant differences will we notice between the Silhouette and Reflection?

Sorry, but the best answer for now is we don’t know.  The Silhouette has the Revolution dry dock in January 2020.  We really don’t know the extent of changes such as changes to the Sky lounge.  If you believe the Revolution will be good, go for the Silhouette.

We have sailed and enjoyed both ships.  Just choose the itinerary you like. Can't go wrong.  If you sail in a suite, Reflection has more suites and suite guests.  But we did not really notice any difference in Luminae.
