pilot Posted November 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2018 The Oyster Card worked great in London. The only problem I had was that I put too much money on the card for 4 days of use. If you have less than 10 pounds on your card the machine at tube stations will refund your money. If you have more than 10 pounds, you must go to one of the major railway stations Visitor Centers to get a refund. They give you a credit back on your charge card. It is easier to add money to your card if you need to.
Rare geoherb Posted November 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2018 The daily max for travel in Zones 1 and 2 is £6.40. We were in London for 5 nights before our cruise in September. We forgot to figure in the trip from Heathrow and had to add a little bit to our Oyster cards the last morning. But as Pilot said, it was easy to add money. WisRiver Posted November 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2018 Keep the Oyster Card for your next trip to London. If you know someone who is going to London, you can lend them you card with a small gift.
