help choosing cruise, please

Hi all, I've never been on a cruise (or anywhere for that matter) and I'm looking for a 4 day cruise. I'm 25 and my fiance is 31 and it will just be the 2 of us. I want to go somewhere with white sand and aqua blue water. I'm also curious what the bar bill racks up to at the end, if you wouldn't mind sharing. We're not lushes but we will be drinking (mostly beer). If anyone could give advise I'd appreciate it!

All you're looking for is a four-day cruise to somewhere with white sand and aqua blue water? You are easy to please and I don't think you'd be disappointed with any cruise.

 

As far as the bar bill, for two of us on a seven-day ours was around $200. We're not beer drinkers, and this did include a couple of bottles of wine at dinner that we shared with the couple we were with, as well as rounds for all four of us.

Most ports of call will have the water and beaches you are looking for. The bar bill may be a little steeper than you're used to on land. I've never noticed a great difference but other cruisers have- it may be drinking is just expensive where I live. There will be a drink of the day special however and a bucket of beer I think was around $10.00 (worked out to two dollars a bottle I think).

My wife and I are not lushes other. So our bar total was $4.13 --- that was one can of diet coke and 2 bags of popcorn ... all sold thru the bar tab. Not much help, maybe.

I suspect your bar tab will be about what it would be for four dasy drinking in any hotel or bar.

Would you be willing to go for five days? If so, try one that goes to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman (Imagination) or Grand Cayman and Cozumel (Inspiration) or Half Moon Cay (a private island - Sensation). Here is a picture of the beach at Ocho Rios ...
