Hi, I apologize if this has been addressed as I am still trying to get use to the 'new setup' and I cant find my answers 😞  This will be my first western itinerary cruise and was wondering if there are things to do inside the ports of Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya (shopping, restaurants etc)  Thank you 🙂

I have started my review of this cruise (it starts out Live From Adventure - NOT).   You will find some answers there, but I'm only on day 2 of my review.

Both of those ports have things to do inside the port.  However, definitely worth getting out of the port areas.  In Costa Maya, we love going to Maya Chan (all-inclusive), there are also other pay as you go beach places just down from the port.  In Cozumel, we usually take a taxi downtown, have lunch, and walk around.  Doing b2b in January and doing two different AI resorts (El Cozumelena and Nachi Cocom) to mix it up.  Cozumel also has some excellent restaurants downtown too.

Costa Maya has a large pool right in the port that is free to use. Plenty of chairs & Swim up bar. Plenty of shopping available at both of these ports.
