oojeanie Posted November 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2018 What pools are included with Atlantis passes? Can you use any pools if you get the pass for the tour of the Dig, etc? We will not do the water slides but would like the pools. Are some of the pools off limits to anyone but those who stay in a particular building or pay even extra? Thanks in advance! scubagirrl Posted November 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2018 Pools are NOT included in the Discover Atlantis tours (DIGS aquarium and Predator Lagoon) or the beach pass. You will need a full aquaadventure waterpark pass in order to use the pools. Even then, Cove and Reef pools are not included.
Cheezus Posted November 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2018 For what it's worth, I have never seen anyone checking room keys or wristbands at the pools, only the slides. But you never know. We went to the pools without wristbands and nobody was asking to see our room key. But past performance is no guarantee of future results.
oojeanie Posted November 24, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted November 24, 2018 We do like the beach but I have heard the water can be very rough there. If it is rough, it would be nice to go to the pools, but like I said, don't think we would use the slides.
scubagirrl Posted November 24, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2018 There is a beach pass that includes the aquarium and predator lagoon.. (but not the pools). The full day pass is the only option to enjoy the pools... and yes, you need a wristband. It may seem as though no one is checking, but they are. drneal Posted November 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 26, 2018 Cascade pool is only for the Reef and Cove guests. Grotto pool has preferred seating. Otherwise if you can get into the pool area you should be fine. I rented a room at Comfort Suites for my family of 4. That gives us access to all pools (except Cascade and Grotto) and the Aquaventure. If you're already paying for a tour you might consider paying additional $$ and get a band so you can use the pools all you want. Enjoy.

I got yelled at by a lady security guard once because I stepped onto a bridge to take a picture. I wasn't even trying to get to the pools (I had jeans on) but apparently that bridge was OFF LIMITS! They do check wristbands.

The bridge on the back of the property that goes to the Cove beach is almost certainly what you are talking about. It's one of the only places with a security guard that checks bands out there. Definitely not near any beach or pools. It was quite a few years ago so maybe security has gotten more lax since then. If you cannot, then boy what a waste of paying for a beach pass! "Atlantis Beach" is basically a public beach (Cabbage Beach).
